Solar Installer (temporary) – Waterbury, VT

The full time temporary Solar Installer will work as part of a crew to perform high quality solar installations. This positions will last between 6 weeks and 3 months.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

This position will:

1. Install photovoltaic (PV) systems in accordance with codes and standards using drawings, schematics, and instructions.
2. Accurately layout and install solar racking systems per design on ground and roof mounted systems.
3. Mount and wire PV Modules per specified design.
4. Install required labels on solar system components and hardware.
5. Work collaboratively with an installation team on roof- and ground-mounted PV systems.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following requirements:

1. Experience in construction, electrical and/or solar industry.
2. Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
3. Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
4. Ability to troubleshoot, think on their feet, and be flexible.
5. Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
6. Experience running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment
7. Experience developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Must be committed to safe working practices, knowledge of OSHA safety standards preferred.
